Hernan Jara

Hernan Jara was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1936 and has received Architecture and Urban Design degrees in France: where he currently lives and works.  Jara has produced several works examining French public transit systems as well as his geometric paintings which focus on varying interpretations of the square.  Jara is one of the founding members of Art Construit International, a group of geometric artists that emphasize the unity of the arts.

He specializes in cubes and semi circles combined with Plexiglas. He uses virtual transparency to modify cubic space.
